After sell-out runs and critical raves in London, Philly, New York (Off Broadway) and London again, Austentatious, a show co-written by our very own Artistic Director, Joe Slabe, FINALLY comes to Calgary and makes its Canadian premiere! Join us as the Cochrane Ranche Amateur Players get ready for their own adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Will Mr. Darcy make the right choice? Will Sam be able to hold it all together? And will the entire cast be safe from the marauding bear? Austentatious will run March 2 - 13 at the Engineered Air Theater in the EPCOR Center. Ksenia Thurgood, David LeReaney, Onalea Gilbertson, Elinor Holt, Tory Doctor, Erin Breen, and Bryan Smith will be on stage with Hal Kerbes directing and Joe Slabe as Musical Director.
... but this IS my day job...
December 1-12, 2009
EPCOR Centre: The Motel
Tickets $21 plus s/c.
A cabaret style event celebrating the joys, challenges, and follies of making a life, if not making a living, in the theater.
We presented this show for one week at the Pumphouse Theatre immediately following our Gala and we were blown away by the success. By the end of the run, we were overselling the house and turning away people. Since the audience reaction was so positive, we thought we would do it again! This humorous and sometimes touching look at making a life, if not always a living, in the arts will run from December 1 to 12 at The Motel in the EPCOR Center.
For those who were able to see it in April, the same great cast will be returning, but we will be adding a couple new songs to reflect the holiday season The cast includes Allison Lynch, Elinor Holt, Daniel Mallett and Joe Slabe with Daniel Bontje as Stage manager and Hal Kerbes directing.
